We kept downloading apps that wanted our money, our data, or both. So we're making the ones we actually wanted — for the budget, the laundry pile, the vet appointments, and everything in between.
What we're building
Each one started as something we needed ourselves. We're shipping them as they're ready — not before.
Where your money actually goes.
Budgets you'll keep, bills you won't forget, and spending you can finally see clearly. No bank logins required if you'd rather keep it simple.
For when the house feels like a lot.
Short, doable routines that bring the kitchen, the laundry pile, and the mail mountain back to neutral — without a 47-step "system."
A health journal that stays yours.
Log symptoms, mood, sleep, cycles — whatever's relevant to you. Bring the patterns to your doctor; nothing leaves your phone otherwise.
One place for all the pet stuff.
Feeding times, meds, vet appointments, weight, walks. Share a profile with your partner or pet-sitter so nobody asks "did you feed her?" twice.
Ideas we're poking at.
Recipes that respect your pantry. A reading log that isn't a social network. A travel planner that doesn't try to upsell you. Tell us what you wish existed.
Every budgeting app wanted our bank logins. Every habit tracker had a $9.99 monthly plan hiding behind the third screen. Every health app shipped our data off to who-knows-where.
OpenNorth is our small attempt at the opposite. Two of us, a few apps, and a stubborn rule that the thing on your phone should be working for you — not the other way around.
The four rules we wrote down
Everything we make is free. If something we built saved you a headache or a Saturday afternoon, you can buy us a coffee. Otherwise, please just use it — that's the point.
Goes straight into rent, hosting, and the next app.
